Maybe is still a crazy idea to go one step ahead than nowadays technology. Our videos meet the requeriments to be played in Blueray disks, the future standard for media. We wanted to adapt to this standard after Blueray won the battle to Sony's HD-DVD. HD720 will be the standard in the near future. Maybe is still too soon to sell media on this format until people get adapted.
We've got a couple of complains from people that were using 5 years old computers to play our videos, and of coarse videos may play choppy on this equipment. So we've decided to downgrade the bitrates to fit into older equipments.
We've released a new video today, called "Reme (18): 4 cigarettes before breakfast (15 min)" This video and future videos will run on a bitrate of 2150 kbps (instead 2750 kbps). Now 15 min. fits on 240 Mb (this is 15 Mb/minute) that maybe is more acceptable, and more standard with old technology.
I'm open to hear your suggestions about your favorite codecs and prefered video bitrates.
