I am a cigar fan, and usually I don't bother about cigarette videos. But I make an exception if the girls are wearing lipstick, so I took a chance on Light My Fire's "Lip Service." The words "bright red lipstick" bring to my mind Rose McGowan in "Doom Generation," Kathleen Robertson in "Torso," or Madonna in "Who's That Girl?" This video doesn't reach that level, but in all fairness, how could it? Nonetheless, this video delivered what it promised: pretty young women wearing lipstick and smoking.
The run time is 47 minutes, and there are eight segments. The girls are young and attractive: I counted four nose studs and one tattoo. And they do have on red lipstick. There are many tight close-ups on the mouth, and of the lipstick on the end of the cigarette. The lighting is just right: enough to illuminate the smoke in the air, but not so much as to bleach out all the other colors.
Each segment begins with a graphic of the girl's first name (I wish other videos would do so) then she holds up the pack (Marlborough Lights 100's throughout), lights up and goes to work.
No baby puffing here. The drags are deep and the exhales are long and full. Smoke rings, nose exhales, nose-mouth combos, cheek hollows, French, snap - they do it all. Even if you're not a lipstick fan, you'll probably enjoy this video.
If only they were smoking cigars... (sigh)
