I assure you fantasy it is not. Look around you. Watch carefully. Women are an awful lot more subtle. And older women in particular. Ask your own mother if she finds guys who smoke sexy. I guarantee you she will say yes. You are more likely to get an honest reponse from your mother and the culture that she is from the culture of the politically correct.
These were women brought up on Rita hayworth and marlene dietrich and Kirk Douglas and Clark Gable smoking. They KNOW smoking is sexy. I have talked to my mom about it quite a lot. So for their age group , smoking is just the same as any other help with coming of age stuff like pierced ears, make up for girls, or going fishing with dad. Its not that there is anything sexual...its that they like to see their kids growing up and becoming adults. Aunts and teachers can have a similar influence. The sexuality of it is then in our own heads..and is indeed fantasy. my mother never wanted to shag me...just liked the thought of me enjoying smoking and going out with a good looking girl that smokes.She used to say horified sometimes don't dare end up with a girl who doesn't smoke! But that was 70s/80s and okay then. My mum and girlfriend get on really well and smoking is part of their socialising. Its like watching your kid score his first goal at football.Only thing now is that smoking is considered bad; but its still there underneath it. Many mothers have a secret admiration when their kids take up smoking. The fact that its half horror and half pride now makes it not talked about.
Now I know many of you are non smokers, even anti smokers who secretly get off on the bad girl thing. That is your own problem. Committed smokers are a lot more honest when you scratch the surface. They don't think its sexy...they KNOW its sexy.
