It is in my belief that society seems to portray mothers who smoke as being somewhat "less" educated than their counterparts who do not smoke, thus promoting the idea behind the spanking theory. In a sense, based on nothing more than hypothetical theory, it is probably safe to say under a controlled environment that mothers who are non smokers are more "in tune" and educated, which may equate to them choosing an alternative form of disipline and punishment for their children, over the old-fashioned method of spanking.
Nevertheless, as a mother who smokes and spanks my children, I see no direct correlation between the fact that I smoke and spank. In fact, the desire to spank my kids in my home is based solely on my beliefs and ideals as a mother, and has absolutely nothing to do with smoking what so ever.
In closing, It's easy to see where those with fetish tendencies can easily conjure up visions and fantasies of a typical urban mother taking that one last final drag of her filter tip cigarette, before putting junior over her knee. I know for a fact this happens in many, many households each and every day because I for one am testament to that, but smoking promoting spanking, I don't think so.
Ah,...my Rothman's King Size.
