I just discovered Asleigh during her coverage of the recent Mideast crisis. I remember not more than a week ago wondering to myself if she is a smoker and thinking she probably is. She did a wonderful piece recently about an Israeli woman who died in a terrorist bombing and her family donated one of her organs to a Palestinean woman, saving her life. She showed the Jewish and Arab friends dining together in friendship and respect. I hope she wins a prize for that piece on peace.
The night they arrested Robert Blake she was preempted but I watched the late night rerun and she interviewed a beautiful blonde Israeli so_ldier on guard duty in the no-mans land between Ramallah and Israel proper. I wonder if they shared a cigarette together off camera. And she also did a piece that night where she had teens from both sides of the conflict get together, become friends, and explain their own side of the conflict to one another. It included some attractive Israeli and Palestinean o_lder female teens. I remeber thinking maybe if they shared a smoke together it might help ease tensions in the Middle East. In anycase, Ashleigh does a good job and it was nice to have visual confirmation that she enjoys smoking cigarettes.
