I think my experiences were a bit unusual compared to most. My mom was a fairly light smoker but smoked marlboro 100s and occassionally newport 100s. She regularly handed me her lighter so that I could give her a light, she sometimes blew her smoke at me and even taught me how to handle her cigarette and ash it. She once quit for about 2 years and when she started again I protested. She took me into a tiny bathroom, closed the door and proceeded to "hotbox" me as she called it. She smoked 2 in a row and blew it all in my face. She said it was to teach me not to complain about it and to get me used to it. I didn't complain anymore. Even though I'm grown, have never smoked and live about 60 miles from her, occassionally when we are alone she has me light her up and sometime still blows it right at me.
