I'm a non-smoker, but sometimes, if I saw a perfect empty cigarette pack that some stranger had discarded, particularly if it were a woman's brand, I'd secretly keep it, smell it, feel its boxy shape, admire its colour and feel the texture of the foil inside. That would be helpful in stimulating thoughts of someone I might choose to imagine using the pack and its contents, perhaps a smoker, ex-smoker, or even a non-smoker, whom I knew. Such thoughts might lead to a typical pleasant result for me.
