G'day Le fettischeTact has never been a strong point of mine, so I tend to step on toes on a regular basis. The newbie complaints are fine, it's people finding their feet around the place. What gets up my rather large nose is when after the final word has been said, someone lobs in and tells granny how to suck eggs, then when they're called on it, their response is juvenile, bitchy or flat out hostile, I have little tolerance for that. (37 and I'm already a grumpy old man.) Add to that a bit of name calling, and a bit of character assassination, which leads me to wonder that there are some seriously lightweight personalities around here.
But then, this is the internet, par for the course.
The current system has flaws, and I appreciate that, but it works, I get pulled up on a wrong word myself on occasion, but I'm okay with that, means things are happening as they should. The obvious way around it is to use a synonym, you know it, I know it.
But a funny thing happened when I tried to reply you a post in this thread early hours this morning, I got pulled up on a word that wasn't even in the post I was trying to make, even when I threw the text into an editor and tried to find an instance of the apparently banned word, there wasn't one.
Can posts be rejected because of something the author never typed?
I wonder what will happen with this post.
Anyway, I think everything has been said that could be said on the topic, I'm happy to move on to more fertile writings, myself.
