Interestingly, Von Heidenstam _was_ married when he wrote that. Maybe he didn't consider his wife "a little wife." After her he had two more wives (not like the Muslims, but successively) and at least one mistress. His last wife was only 17 when they got married. I wonder if he asked them all to smoke. If he did, he may have been the earliest teen smoking fetishist as well.
