Free advice is worth every penny you pay for it, so here we go. From a woman's point of view, "Here, allow me" may be interpreted as a bit too forward, perhaps an uninvited reach (your hand) into her space. If I were on the bench next to you I'd certainly accept your light but would prefer "May I?" as you just displayed the ready lighter from a comfortable distance. You would have placed the decision to enter my space with me and I would have been comfortable. And perhaps lingered on the bench if I did not have friends to join.
