In my twisted beliefs, I was convinced that only bad girls tried smoking. I believed a woman could still smoke and be a good wife and nother even though she was bad during her carefree days as a young adult. Because my mother did not smoke, I believed a smoker kept could stop but did not stop because her husbsnd liked her to smoke. Sometimes I got to stay with a friend when my mother played bridge. When I got to smell the aroma of coffee along with the scent of cigarette smoke, I got so excited.
