Ash trays were in dept stores on most isles.I even remember working at a hospital,nurses were smoking at the nursing stations.They could not carry then in to rooms for safty reasons ,like oxygen in use,but the stations in the middle were fine.(1976-1977)

In the 70s I could hardly remember a girl who did not smoke.and VA slims were in.

The 80s were good also ,about as good as 70s,but when the 90s rolled around the anti smoking nazis came into power
