Yes, they're taking a trip. Their destination(s) cannot be revealed as they are taking the candid smoking cam in tow. If women find out where Rodney and Tampa are headed to capture candid smoking footage, they might take up the habit in hopes of being included in the show. If so, the guys wouldn't want to carry around the burden of guilt.

Plus the guys only capture real smokers, so we wouldn't want any "puffers" and/or Oriental women from Draggin Ladies to show up hoping to do candid wafting that really wouldn't be "candid" anyhow.

Hopefully, there'll be some footage to capture, but it seems like smokers are becoming scarcer and scarcer by the weeks and days.

We were thinking about it the other day and there is hardly anyone (male or female) that we come in contact with on a daily basis who still smokes. It's truly becoming an abnormality to spot a smoker in SW FL.

You basically have to be somewhere where workers are standing outside taking a break. When workers go to lunch or leave for the day, they'll usually wait until they reach their car to smoke. Smokers seem to be willing to do whatever it takes to avoid being hassled by someone.

One recent exception was at the stock car races. We went a couple months ago on a Saturday night. Didn't capture any footage, but some people (women and men) were smoking. Not an inordinate amount -- maybe 10-15 per cent at best. No more than that.

Well, wish us luck. Our itinerary takes us mostly to places where the forecast is 20-40% chance of rain, so maybe shooting outdoor footage will become a moot point anyhow. Cest la vie.

We'll be sure to let everyone know how things turn out and might possibly post an update ot two from the road.
